NJFB Women's Committee
Farm-City Week/Tour

November 17 – 23 marks National Farm–City Week, a time to observe and celebrate the successful partnerships between rural and urban residents who make our food and fiber system the envy of the world. These partners – farmers, ranchers, factory workers, truck drivers, cashiers, waitresses, and others – account for more than 22 million American jobs.

To celebrate this week, the NJFB Women’s Committee conducted a food drive to benefit our urban neighbors at the Ronald McDonald House in Camden, NJ. At the recent NJFB convention alone, over $2300 was raised for this worthy cause. Donations are still being accepted ($8.00 sponsors one holiday meal) and may be mailed to NJFB (attn. C. Gaskill).

The NJFB Women's Committee also conducts a Farm-City Tour, where members of the committee bring their non-farm friends and neighbors on a day-long farm tour.
